Brown Envelopes

Hello folks (if there's anyone out there still reading *waves*)
I'm back, after a long absence. Hopefully I'll be back into blogging more regularly now (and working through the pile of photos and recipes for posting that have built up).

It's been a difficult couple of months. Some days I'm on top of the tiger, some days the tiger is on top of me (well, most mornings there's a cat with delusions of grandeur bouncing on my bladder and demanding to be fed, but that doesn't count). MikeyFox & I were both made redundant in February, so have been making the most of our time doing DIY, redecorating & repairs around the house & garden, including planting trees, creating a herb garden & building a house & fenced off run for the chickens we'll be getting this weekend.

So to celebrate my return to blogging, it's a brown envelope giveaway!
Brown envelopes usually contain bad news or bills, but not mine. Mine contain seeds, and maybe even tea, stickers or chocolates!

So if you'd like a brown envelope, get in touch. My email address is littleblackfox@hotmail.com
If there's anything you can't grow, or if you don't have much space, let me know (so I don't send you a Jurassic kale or monsterous South American vegetable). If you want something in particular (hardy tomato, weird pumpkin, giant South American vegetable...) let me know, I have all sorts. If you just fancy a surprise, that's great too.
I don't expect anything in return, nor will I pass on your details to anyone and this offer will not bite you in the arse.
You can send me something back if you like, but you don't have to :)

Anyway, enough about me. How have you been?

So good to hear from you x
I am so sorry to learn that both you and MikeyFox have been made redundant. I am utterly shocked, as I was convinced in my head that you both were the backbone of this company. So disappointed for you both. I don't know what to say...

I am Looking forward to seeing the chooks. And I look forward to seeing your upcoming posts and what you have been cooking up.

Now that I have some growing space, Of course, I'd love to participate in your brown envelope giveaway. I don't have any curly kale, yellow courgettes or scarlet runners. But I am willing to be surprised too.

Is it okay with you for me to mention this give away on my blog. Let me know either way x

Great blog - I would love some seeds!

Sorry to hear about your redundancy - that happened to me a few months ago as well and it is definitely a huge adjustment. Big hugs to you both!

Shaheen pointed the way, now I'm here! Hi! (waves back)

You are very generous with your seeds. :-)

Sorry about the job(s) - that sucks. I'm sure something bigger and better is on its way, in the meantime you can get on with keeping your chickens - it's wonderful.

Looking forward to hearing more...

I found your lovely Blog through Shaheen, what a brilliant idea for a giveaway.

I really don't need any seeds, I've just acquired all my Dads, he had to give up his allotment recently and I've already got loads of my own, but I thought I'd leave a comment simply to congratulate you on such a lovely idea.

Sad to here you were both made redundant, once you get your chooks you wil be able to really go down the self sufficiency route and live really well.

I have only 12 chickens at the moment I'm hoping to get back up to full strength soon. Have fun with yours.

Sue xx

Lovely blog, I like the posts on chilli recipes and gardening. I don't have a proper job, I paint. It's not easy but it does bring lots of advantages. Hope the redundancies lead to better things although I imagine it's worrying too. I wrote for seeds, but I live in France so it may be a stretch too far. Best Wishes Jane

Found my way via Shaheen too. I have three hens, husband grows veg and we've just put up a cheap polytunnel to try different things like peppers & aubergines. I hope to follow your blog now.
